Hello,
I am a new defender owner, I have a persistent puddle between the seats and the bulkhead. I've resorted to a keeping a couple of sponges down their to soak it up.

I am planning on doing some work to the Defender, including sound deadening. An this - is obviously going to hamper my work!

I think its coming in where the top half of the rear ?cab? meets the bottom half. I can see what looks like a foam seal running around the join. I've been trying to find relevant forum posts, the only thing I can find is talk of Dum Dum strip or Butyl Tape. Am I best removing the old stuff and replacing with Dum Dum?

Thanks in advance,
Apologies for my rubbish description..

Did you get a wet knee whilst driving, if so please join the Landrover design club.

No wet knee's luckily, seems the water is just behind the seats.. :)

Google the defender water ingress manual and that will give you ideas of where to look. Don't be tempted to seal down the floor panels with silicone or anything silly like that. Water will be coming from above and all you'll do is stop the water being able to get out
