Best place for landrover cambelt kit NOOOO

Euro car parts have branched out lots since my custom when I owned a BMW 325i......
they were fairly local then, and cheaper than main stealers....

today,
I have been looking on the net for a new (again) cam belt kit "complete"
thats, cambelt, , Idler, oil seal, plus all the gaskits needed to re-install it all..

saw and advert for a chelmsford based company that shows a motoquip box and its advert reads that its a cambelt kit, but then lists it consists of a cambelt and idler - thats it..
so I looked up that part number to see who or what sells this "kit"
none that I saw contained gaskits....

theres plenty of other sellers advertising a Dayco belt, oil seal, Idler plus all the gaskits for about £40 or just under delivered.

In the end I chose RST landrovers from nearby Maldon,
its complete kit costs £36-85 with FREE delivery...

the jokers selling the motorquipe ahem, "kit" was over £40 with postage,
that sounds "extreme" to me ;)

those guys in EURO parts wanted a chokingly bad price of £141...but the sweetner was, ahem, free delivery.....

I live "not far" from RST, there always competetive on price, plus I could pop over there on my scooter to buy if the box is not too big,
or say "golly gosh dam" and wait for delivery.......

Caution is a word we often read or hear about in buying car parts,
taking the piddle on price we need to hear more of....

Should buy from a reputable company who actually cares about what they are selling.
Engine rebuilders in the north west use L.E.C and buyers countrywide use them on line time after time

Just shipped a load of kits to Ireland and sell regularly to Australia and Europe.

You need to buy quality parts from reputable suppliers at the right price when rebuilding an engine, the reputation of a good engine rebuilder relies on its parts supplier

Lymm Engine Components :)

cheers for that chap.....
in the end I used RST of Mersea Island (still waiting for royal mail 1st class)
its closer by boat than drive, but used them before for bits....

just remembered, back in the day I lived near GOSNEYS engineering on eastern Ave Romford, almost lived in ther sometimes when I was racing..
