OK, my Range Rover Classic (V8) has developed the rather annoying habit of running out of electricity.

I think the battery (a generic Unipart item) has had it, as it's died a few times now and been recharged, which can't be good for it. Also, there's some moisture on the top of the battery, so looks like the cells are seeping a bit.

So, where's a good place to buy a good battery at an outstanding price? I've been on to Tayna's website and they have a standard battery @ £55 (CCA of 505A and 68Ah) or an uprated one @ £70, which has a higher CCA of 555A and 70Ah (both + £8 delivery): 069 Enduroline Car Battery 70Ah 555CCA - Car Batteries - Enduroline Car Batteries

Is the recommended upgrade (an Enduroline) worth it? Are the better ones on the market for a better price?

Cheers!

numbers are an old system i think originaly Lucas , there only part number's . but do refer to the size and position of the positive terminal . Check out VARTA batteries , there web site did have all the detail's . you may need to measure the space in your classic to find out how much room there is and then find a battery of the correct size and polarity . hope this make's some sense .

OK, thanks - I see what you mean now. Found these two, both of which are the right size, anyone got a preference to either?

Alphaline: 72Ah, 610CCA, 4 year warranty, £62.95 delivered: Alphaline / n/a / Battery

Numax 072: 70Ah, 550CCA, 3 year warranty, £64.65 delivered: 072 Numax Car Battery 12V 70AH - Car Batteries - Numax Car Batteries

The Alphaline seems to be a better spec, long warranty and a bit cheaper, but never heard of them and have heard of Numax! Thoughts??
