Any ideas folks???

i need a good, strong feed from the battery in the boot of a 300tdi 3dr disco. needs to be good enough for a stereo amplifier as i've got frustrated with the poor sound from 4 x 4" speakers for far too long now!!!

any help appreciated!

i run my live striaght from battery through the bulkhead under the door trim & under carpet to the boot then the earth is off the rear seat fixing bolt in the floor took about half hour with no cables on show

you can usually pass it through the same hole as other wires. not teh best looking way but saves having to drill and risk hitting something on the other side. or you may have a blank gromett that just need a hole put in it.
you can buy small rubber grommets fer the job but they only come in packs of about 50. if you can wait and pm yer address i'll send you a couple if ye like.

Get a Power 4 wiring kit from VIBE AUDIO and you will have all you need to do what you need. I work for VIBE so if you want any stuff let me know and I will sort you a good price.
If you want a cheeper solution go to Halfords and get a FLI AK10 wiring kit these are made by our sister company.

I removed my 6track from under the driver seat and put my amp under their then all I had to do is run the speaker cable to the boot.
I used a Power4 kit, MB3 amp, Slick 40 in the front doors slick60 in the rear doors, Slick69.2 in the rear quaters and to finish it all off a CBR 12 TWIN Sub in the boot. it sound's like the dogs b's.

Have a look at vibeaudio.co.uk

i'd love to do this however...

problem 1 - not enough spare cash so i've gotta do it with what i've already got

problem 2 - its a 3dr so i can't put anything under the seats so i need to stretch it into the boot

problem 3 - no back doors, just out of curiosity, does anyone make (or can you get) rear 1/4 panels to take a 6x9 rather than the pityful 4" speakers that are there?? i've got a pair of 6x9's in the boot in a bit of mdf at the moment to see me through till i get sorted properly.

i replaced the 2 door speakers and the 2 rears with fusions. they only lasted 4 months and 5 have blown on me (they replaced 1 for me that went after a fortnight) fusion are claiming user abuse and are refusing to replace them as i was trying too hard to get decent sound from them by running them into distortion. (when i questioned them on how running them distorting would benefit me in sound quality hence why would i bother doing it they just went quiet.)

Just let me know what you want and I will sort you some slight seconds and believe me when I say the price is going to be very low compaired to the shops
