Best Oil For P38

Just Got Myself A 1996 4.0 Range Rover (petrol) And Looks Like It Needs A Bit Of Oil. What Is The Best Oil To Put In It synthetic oil, semi synthetic or non synthetic or does it really matter?

ive been told non synthetic oil is best from people and semi synthetic from others so abit of advice from someone who knows would be nice thanks.

Put semi in it. Fully synth is only really for modern engines and high performance stuff - anything else doesn't really need it.

Have the same engine as you. Have used both fully synth and mineral. No diff really xcept slightly longer between oil-changes with the synth. Not enough to be worth the price difference so now just use mineral.
