Best ever fuel consumption

Thats interesting, just been reading the handbook re fuel capacity

the 90s have a 60L tank and the 110/130s a 75L

For some reason I always though the 110 had a 65L tank !! my best ever fill was 67 !!

Hmm so there are 2 gallons in there still when I panic and fill up. so that potentially 450 miles to the tank  do I dare run it into the RED ?

I assume that's for later models? As in td5 etc... I read that too which confused me but I looked into it more and my tank is indeed only 45 litres. Unfortunately

That must me right, don't the TD5 90 fuel tanks stretch under the floor now?

So thats only 10 gallons in your tank, similar to the tank I have just bought for the 80 !!

Just done the first check on 200tdi swb truck cab, pleasantly surprised to be getting 28mpg around town with hills :D

Oldish thread but gonna reply anyway for all those searching mpg.

One my 3rd tank of fuel in my (new to me) 300tdi 110 csw.

Egr delete, Allisport intercooler, exhaust centre box delete, General AT2's, electric fan, standard gearing

32.06 then 32.17 mpg. ........ got an app for that ;)

I'm impressed! 2 ton lump does well, I don't boot it, just enjoy driving it as a Landrover. Mixed urban use.

I've no doubt it will plummet if I boot it or sit on the motorway over 70mph!

My 2003 110 TD5 is averaging 31.59 miles for me over 4100 miles, best is 33.17 and worst is 29.75, but the worst tank did involve a day in the garage trying to fix a random stalling problem, a new earthing wire put in and running it idle for ages to test it had fixed it.

I do drive at a rather pedestrian manner mind rarely above 60/65 on the motorway etc.
