Odd that all the agencies working in places like Afghanistan, Africa et al use Land Cruisers not Range Rovers, money being no object to them of course.

To be fair they also never bother fixing them. Buy them new, bolt on whatever mods, run them for as long as they'll go and when they break, remove the mods and sell 'em cheap to the locals and buy a new one. Lots of ex-agency and ex-UN vehicles on the roads around here. Most however have had their engines replaced with old Toyota or Nissan diesels.

I drove a LC V8D a few weeks ago, Compared to my V8 L322 it was really not very good.

I know it will go on for ever, but god, I expected something much better...

Radiator was first ever job I did, had the same problem. Nuts rusted, gave up got garage to do it! New radiator has modified nuts, so next time I can get the thing out.

What I find about my car, is every job I do I find that the previous owner has been their previously. He was captain of the bodgit society, so I feel good when I fix it correctly with all the correct clips, springs and whatever.

I have spent twice what I paid for her on her, I still have an air Suspension problem and an electric window to fix, but I still love her.

I was really ill when I bought the RR, it's restoration, was a kind of therorpy for me, to take my mind off how rotten I felt.

I know it's the Forth Bridge, and thus will always need fixing, also I will fall in and out of love with her, but will keep her a long time any how!

Thank you chaps, not out of the woods yet! But nearly there. The RR has been a life saver. As I say, great way to take my mind off my illness, and every night I go to bed thinking, I need to buy this clip or that relay etc.
