Ok guys before you spend your cash on a new potentiometer have a good look at your wiring and especially your connections. Connections being the one from the potentiometer to just inside the engine bay bulk head (mine was just behind the fuel filter) and the one at the injection pump. Pull connectors apart and you will see some very small spade connectors inside, all you need to do is clean and crimp these up a little, so that when you reconnect you get a tighter fit this will then give a better signal between components. Then check wiring, looking for chaffed wires etc. Once done turn key in ignition to position 2 (dash lights on) and press accelarator pedel up down as far as it will go 5 times then turn ignition off. OK its not going to work for everyone, but did for me. It cost nothing to do this. All I ask is, if it works for you, please reply to post so others can benefit.
