Whilst shopping around for a combined DAB/FM aerial I have noticed lots of references to bee-sting aerials. Are they simply short aerials, or is there more to it?

They are the short stubby uns that look like bee's stings

Strangely, thats the one I was thinkin of buying.
Still dont explain what a bee sting is though. Guess it just means short 'n' stumpy.
