hi all
Back again ,!!
After my last post " becm" I lost interest for a while ,I have my daughters car to get by so have not delved any further into the mysterious electrical drain
Have been reading Sirius post on becm ,also rave, and pm Rick pick (no reply yet )
Can someone point me in the right direction (no skip puns)
As said previously p38 2002 Thor ,battery drain on maxi fuse 4
Am I right in saying maxi 4 constant supply to becm ,supplying fuses 12 13 14 15 key off,relay 10 supplying fuses 6. 7 .17 when key on ?
If above is correct ?
When I remove fuses 12 heated rear +l/h rear window (electric window??)
13 shift interlock solenoid ,key inhibit solenoid
14 l/h r/h rear central locking,fuel flap,trailer supply ??
15 l/h r/h ice amps ,courtesy /load space lamps ,ice sub ,r/h rear courtesy lamp
Rf remote receiver ,tail door c/locking,rear wiper
The drain is still there .
So with maxi4 out ,all goes to sleep no drain
Maxi 4 in ,fuses 12,13 14 15 out it drains
How am I getting drain with fuses out
Can someone help me on my journey i am now puzzled
Many thanks
John

How long are you waiting before measuring the drain? Bonnet shut etc? Cannot remember if you have the MK3 RF receiver or not?
Hi
The becm wakes when connecting battery /meter ,I have a socket in bonnet immobiliser.so when it drops to lower voltage I assumed it has gone asleep .
When I open a door it goes up ,then after a few minutes ? Goes back down .
The rf module I replaced 3 years ago (after joining this forum )
£226 part number lywy500170 been good as til now
I was just hoping to isolate via a fuse , but that doesn't work
Surely if I had a corroded wire .removing fuse would eliminate drain
My trouble is just finished a 3 yr restore on a mk2 spitfire
And can only get my head round the basics
Not ecu's,becm's,bla.bla.bla
Cheers
John
