The BECM doesn't store fault codes Sandy, only the individual outstations and EAS. Faultmate is the best, Testbook the only other one I know of. PM Irishrover, though he's travelling back to the Emerald Isle at the mo, so prolly won't pick up 'till late or tomorrow!

Faultmate with SM035 is the only device that gives direct access to the BECM allowing it to be unlocked, although module SM022 will cover most of the things needed for checking BECM functions.

As I thought I had looked at the Bearmach but it doesnt as far as I can see even touch the becm on the p38 it is just that at the moment all the faults I seem to be chasing involve the becm I am sure it is just coincidence I have an alarm fault door lock faults and a hevac sensor out very frustrating if I could find the fault I can get on and fix it
Thanks for the responses

You can, amongst other things, operate the door locks from the Faultmate. It's a good piece of kit, it's only drawback is that it is either locked to one vehicle or expensive.

So stealers use Testbook, but can't therefore re-set/unlock, presumably only good for reading codes then?

Must say that restricting to one vehicle is not too much of a problem but even at that its 600 odd Euros which is a load of cash the hevac sensor is the one below the clock I am fairly sure the alarm prob is the volume sensor probably and the door locks well £300 buys both new actuators now I would be ****ed of if I bought them to find I had a problem with the becm burning the motors out ah well dilemma dilemma

I think there is still a 10% discount running for Landyzone members, PM Colin aka BBSGuy at Blackbox solutions.
