Lots of dodgy stats around these days, I's go for the Bearmach and test it in boiling water before fitting.
Make sure it has the air bleed "valve" if not then get them to drill a 3mm hole which should be fitted in the 12 o clock position. I'll see if I can find an old one in the garage to illustrate what I mean. Stay safe.

It is rather difficult to check the stat unless you take a hammer to the plastic housing

The mechanic doing the job has had several P38's. I gave him a replacement rad for the wrong one that's been on 18months or so. Looking forward to driving it home tomorrow, although not exactly slumming it in my A8 since Friday.They're a pain in the ass to fit
