Agreed. Only the previous evening I had parked in the other car park at this hotel - only 30 or 40 metres away - with no problem.
With hindsight, I should have tried disconnecting the aerial to the RF receiver or even tried screening the receiver with the metallised blanket from the first-aid kit. I wasn't thinking "RF". I was assuming a more serious BECM problem.
