Battery or alternator issues

Hi all

For the second time in less than a week my battery is dead before starting the car. On each occasion I unlocked the car but when I go to turn it over the alarm goes off and on for 10 minutes

I do not have any power in the car, central locking and anything requiring power doesn't work. A jump quickly gets the car going again .

Yesterday, the last time I used the car was to move it 5 meters further on the drive and off again

Are these cars liable for issues if in use for a minuet or 2.
Could the alternator be faulty, how can I troubleshoot?

Could the battery be dying. What battery do you all recipient.

First thing you need to do is check the battery voltage when it is running and that should give you a big clue. Also batteries don't last forever (8-10 years is about the max)
