Hi Guys,
Ive just installed a new alternator into my TD4, all went well-ish however the battery light remains on post engine start. The battery charging voltage is fine and the alternator output is fine so I'm a little perplexed.
The issue originaly arose cause like a bonehead I left my lights on prior to a cruise. Returned, dead car and the guy I was getting a jump off at three in the morning stated that his fuel light had come on. I foolishly started without letting at least some voltage transfer to the battery and the alternator wrapped its hand in post starting.
The fuses seem ok, does anything in the brain need to be reset???
Cheers
Nick
