Battery keeps draining, need help on it...

Hello guys, i have come to manchester for holidays and park my car on the street. i dont know why but since the past 2 days my car battery keeps going down. I have previously had flickering interior and exterior light problem and now this battery thing. Is it time for a new battery or something else.

Also can someone please tell me the earth points and the locations in a 4.0 Rangie - 98 model, please as I would like to check it out and clean any unwanted residue around.

If its only started happening while you're in a new location then have a search through the last few pages of posts for similar issues. Could be you're parked near something giving you RF interference like wireless network.

As I say theres a bunch of threads on here to provide work arounds and longer term fixes.

easiest thing to try is remove panel behind o/s/r seat, this will expose the RF receiver, theres 2 plugs going to it, remove the one with a single wire and leave it removed, this is the aerial, then refit panel.
Its a 20 second job.
with the aerial disconnected if the problem is outside RF interference it should stop! as it harder for the receiver to pick up spurious signals with no aerial, you may find you have to hold remote as close to the receiver area next to window as poss to unlock/lock till aerial refitted!
if the problem does go away then you know to replace the receiver for an newest version, £150, or park else where!
