Hi All, Not sure if I'm doing this right. In a bit of a rush and its myfirst post. Anyway, quick question was...Does anyone have the solution to a rather silly problem caused entirely by my own stupidity. (Rushing then too) Flat battery on Disco 2 V8. T Reg. and managed to connect jump leads wrong way round in the dark... Ooops! Have now got a battery cut off symbol on dash and no response with Key even with a good battery connected. Anyone have any advice? Assume I have blown a fuse or similar. Maybe worse and upset the ECU??? Help. Thanks in advance. TandG

ooohlalala
reconnect battery correctly and trace the point at which you get no circuit with a volt meter by putting the positive probe on the positive terminal of the starting components, taking readings as you go, making sure your always maintaining a healthy earth via the negative battery terminal and meter probe.
you'll then find what you fried.

Sorry -should have been more assertive - PROBABLY the alternator. If they r the same as when I used to tinker, they have a diode pack which dunt like reverse polarity but is way cheaper to replace than the whole thing.......
