Hi guys, i know there are a lot of posts regarding battery drain problems on the L322 (mines a 2003 TD6) but I have this very annoying problem aswell.
I had a new battery fitted last April and for a while everything seemed ok but the problem has returned. Whats more I have changed the Final stage resistor which some people think is the bogey man but after a day on the drive flat battery again.
I have just returned from a very good electro diesel specialist from where I had the battery new, and after testing the battery again and the alternator, said that was not the problem. Has anyone else had a definate fix that wasn't the final stage resistor.
Sorry if the answer has been posted elsewhere.

hi there i have a 2004 td6 had it 4 years ago everything was great for a week or so, then one day after cleaning her, flat battery! found out there was nothing wrong with the battery it had locked me out and you cant turn the key in the ignition until you charge it up oh and if it gets to this stage you need to go to main dealers to get yer key re-coded.
Anyway i found that if you dont give the top and bottom tailgates a good firm shut the boot lights stay on,and because of the parsel shelf you dont know the lights are on.
Once i sussed this i had no more problems till last august my battery was beginning to fail needing charging every other day (been on since new not bad).
Bought a new battery, don't skimp get a good one with a good guarantee, it's important to keep a tip top battery on these vehicles as there are so many goodies to use. And i know they have a complex "going to sleep" procedure when you switch off ,no problems since.:5bcheers2:
