Really bugging me as we want to use the old girl now!
Got all the work done for the mot, 3 days welding, brakes overhaul, new gas system (well new to me off a donor).
Everything is going well now it drives perfect but its still draining the battery completely dead overnight. Battery was new a couple of months ago (could be duff i suppose, might blag a replacement to be sure but it drained my spare battery too so maybe not)
So far I have eliminated pretty much everything i can find.
ABS is gone
Air supension is gone
Air con is gone
Every relay and fuse now redundant is taken out
All earths and supplies checked and renewed
central locking/immobiliser unplugged for a few days to eliminate that
Alternator changed
Cant find anything else suspect
Any thoughts or past experiences would be much appreciated!

i had this problem with a classic 3 years ago. turned out to be a faulty bonnet light switch.which was keeping the light on and killing the battery. hope this helps.

There is one or two other ones also.

Check the heated door handles, I think its fuse 5 in sattelite fusebox 2. This also keeps the permanent power to the radio and internal lights.

The solenoid for the aircon compressor is another nasty litttle one with a direct feed.

well the bonnet switch is disconnected, the air con loom is all gone and the relays are gone and have tried it with all the fuses out! still drains any battery i put on it.
I'm testing it as we speak with the starter disconnected as this is the last thing that could drain it that quickly left now! I hope its this as i have a spare on the donor classic! we see how much life is in it a bit later on!

sounds daft but my mates was parked near his house which had wireless doorbell.his range rover kept draining battery .turned out that the doorbell was very near frequency has his remote locking system .and that was draining it .
