Battery date

    problem solved, just fitted a new battery not taking any chances, thanks people.

    I’ve seen gel ones on motorbikes, mustn’t charge them with a car charger. I learnt that much only.

    this was sealed I cut the top off , 6 caps all cells damp battery dry.

    only ever had AGM on mine, which is like a gel

    So if you add fluid you will knacker the battery if it isn't already knackered.

    fair enough.. i personally would have left it sealed.. its like that for a reason :)

    Not really very good as starter batteries IMO.

    no, especially on V-twins, they dont last long. but you dont usually get a choice

    yes it's called low maintenance, so you have to buy a new one.

    thks, must admit haven’t heard of that one

    fitted a yuasa in my D3 , bought it from halfords so if there’s any issues easy to get it changed

    Formally bought an Exide from tayna which failed and they wanted me to send it back at my own expense, didn’t bother as it would have cost too much plus many couriers wouldn’t touch it because of the acid

    glad u got it sorted out

    just done some research on the number, it's come back at 2014 and a AGM battery, so good job I did not top it up, all in all it's holding 12.56 volts so make a good spare, thanks guys.
