move to france, interest rates real low very few bank charges and if you have a cool bank manager like what i have you even get free short term credit ..

aint it strange how we expect banks to look after our money for nothing but we pay our accountants for doing the same thing,. face facts a bank is just an accountant and you have to pay. as fer loans it always states the repayable ammount on the loan form. if you didnt read it dont conme moaning to us ;)

we are not talking about loan interest payments here.
we are talkin bank charges for things like exceeding your overdraft etc...

Oh I aint moaning.........well not much. I had no choice needed the cash asap...........Raffles still died thou, poor boy :( But he was worth every penny!!! I'd do it again 2mro.

what do you expect then, if you exceed yer o/d you are infact using other peoples money without their permission, thats like me coming to your house and taking off with your car for the day then when i bring it back say to you, i only borrowed it for the day, i didnt think you would mind.

yes but the law states that they can only charge the rate for the job.
they must not charge penalty fees. thats illegal.
if they charge say 35 quid, and it actually costs 4.50 to administer, then the rest can be assumed to be a penalty. thats illegal.
this has yet to be tested in court.
but its very interesting that neither barclays nor the abbey national have wanted a court decision!

thats what i meant about free short term credit he dunt charge if i go over drawn..rare as it is but even as we speak i'm a tad over drawn but as he knows it will be back to normal in a week he dunt bother.

banks make their money from lending so if you dint put yer money in the bank they wouldn't be able to lend so they couldn't make any money. so why should they charge ye fer helping them make money?? if you borrow without asking and you get stung thats your own fault.
