Back into the Landy Fold

Hello all,

Just a coupe of lines to say hello. I'm back in Land Rover ownership after an absence of about 15 years or so, with a 1970 SWB IIA project currently being rebuilt - all the bits are there, just boxed up! Outside of this, I have a Morris Minor and a Triumph Herald. I'll likely be bending some ears for advice as I go along, so its good to be part of this forum. I'm in the Salford area by the way.

My Disco mate Phill been building up a Herald from scratch for past few years. Like a baby blue colour. Still beautiful looking car today.

Welcome to Landyzone and the tragic world of landy ownership (again) I love old moggies, but I haven't room for another car, I've constantly tried to talk my kids into getting one for me to play with but all they are interested in is electric Windows, air con and loud stereos.

Thank you. The Herald is a labour of love - they rot for fun.

Thanks all for the welcome. I’ll sort some pics out and get them on here as I go along. Here’s what I’ve started with, plus a garage full of bits. Engine and box are in and the green slime on the (solid) chassis washed off....

Ha ha. That has since been jet washed. It’s a spare.
