Back in the market for a Disco

Hi to everyone, I had to postpone my purchasing of a disco a few months back as life got in the way, but now hopefully I can start looking for one again. I have a budget of £5000 and if possible I would like a facelift D2. A friend of mine purchased an immaculate D1 300 tdi and he suggested that they are better in a number of ways.... I decided to have a look at what is available and I found a 1995 one with 72k which looks really well kept. It's priced at £3,750 (auto trader)

Is this silly money for a Disco 1 or is a very good one worth this much? Thanks.

Its very nice, but £3750? Not for me. I was looking before Christmas and found two 1999 D1's for around £2000. You don't need to spend nearly £4k

Try Ebay, thats where I found them

How feckin much

that's twice what it's worth, even with low mileage etc, it's still an 18 yr old disco.

For 5k you'll get a really nice disco 2. Personally I'd spend 3-3.5k and keep the rest for mods/ inevitable repairs.

Thanks guys, thought it was overpriced. Cannot wait to find the right one for me, it's hard work looking for a Disco!

On road?
Off road?
Laning or p&p?
