Hi guys, I know it's not a problem most guys on here will come across but I can't seem to find a baby seat that fits securely in the back seat. My disco is a 99 so it's not got isofix points and the seat belts just won't hold the seats I've tried secure enough, there's always movement :(.
 
I've had **** with getting kiddie seats to fit.

Try putting the belt under kiddie seat and then lean on it and pull the slack out and fit rest of belt to it with car seat foam compressed.

does it have a horrible blue clamp by any chance?
 
We had a couple of Maxi cosy Tobi seats.

The belt goes around this seat in such a waybthat it holds in VERY secure. Once the belt is around the sat there is 2 cams that you push up which REALLY hold the seat tight.
The otger really good feature with the rear seatbelts on the D2 isthet when you pull the seat belt all the out, it engages a ratchet mechanism preventing the belt from out spooling. ( this cancelled when the belt is fully retracted ).

I know these seats are expensive, but when you consider what they are protecting, its a no brainer. We sold both ours for about £65.00.

Are I had a bastard with a new born seat in mine .... Glad there all bigger now and they got them forward facing ones ....
 
Id like to know what the ISO fix is all about, I got it in mine, i got a baby and a seat lol, but i just use the seatbelt like normal. Although as its rear facing does make the front leg room very limited to say the least!

Isofix seats come with a base that goes down the back of the seats and effectively bolts to the chassis. The base stays in the car and the car seat clips in and out of that. They're expensive but in theory safer and easier to instal. :)
