I plan to build my 90 back onto Galv chassis sometime in the future. when I can afford the chassis.
Gonna try and make a start on some fresh axles to spruce up and rebuild.
Mine is 1990 200Tdi,with classic range rover 10 spline on, discs front and rear. Which axles should I be looking for, got the chance locally of a pair off a discovery 1 N Reg, think they are 24 spline, , would these be OK? or should I be looking for a certain type??
Thanks

Gonna have a look at some axles 300tdi, from disco to rebuild. Will I need the radius arms from same vehicle?
Also is there a full kit to rebuild, with everything in balls, bearings, seals ect? or are they separate.
And Should I change anything else such as Stub Axles?
Thanks

only if yours is pre 300 tdi, stub axles only need changing if they are damaged, you never need to remove bottom swivel pin, have a look here

Thanks James
Think its an N Reg disco, my defender is 200tdi, someone said that my radius arms would not fit, 300 axles,
So aswell as swivel housing kit, I will need wheel bearing kits and all seals ect?

The disco is 200tdi.but mate says the axles are definitely 24 spline, so would they be as good as 300tdi or more or less the same??
gonna have a look Wednesday will take photos and post them to make sure before I buy.

There is no point in this IMO. Stock RRC or D1 10 spline axles are fine for most things. 24 spline have proven to be no stronger real world. And axle strength is only really an issue off road with big tyres. The PCD is the same for all of these axles. So pretty much the same choice of rims.

Phots again, sorry think the other ones were to big
