Series 2 Axle upgrade options and recommendations

Hi All,

What would be the recommendations for complete front and rear axle upgrades? Something a bit more modern if possible that can handle increased HP and Torque with the ability to fit LSDs and preferably disk brakes. I'm quite happy to make new propshafts if required.

Defender axles would take disc brakes and fancy diffs, but they will, I suspect, be a bit wider and need lift Spring mounts retrofitting.

I've been thinking about a Land Cedes...

Do all that and it won't be a series! - go buy a Defender instead....

They are really solid. I also like the centrifugal clutches they fit to some of their models...

...can't afford all the spares on a Unimog though - seriously expensive - which is why perhaps a modified series will be in my future (sorry chaps no defenders for me!)
