Hi fellas was hoping someone could help, does anyone now if the left hand driveshaft gearbox oil seal is the same part number for an automatic gearbox as a manual one on a freelander td4 at all as I’ve been trying to find out but can only see trx000010L and not sure if they’re the same, thanks in advance if anyone can help

Cheers AndyFreelander for the swift reply, ive just had a look and it says this is for the output shaft, the one I’m after is for the left hand drive shaft oil seal, not sure if these are the same part

There are good instructions on here for the correct way to check level and top up. Maybe it is time to change the fluid? If so read the guide and don't undo the wrong bolt and trash the gearbox!!

Hi mate, yes already done oil change and level check twice now to put clean oil in as only part change at a time as instructed off here so no problem there, thanks tho, invaluable this forum has been since owning the td4

Just a follow up,replaced seal yesterday after work, took 2hrs from start to finish and the reason was when I had gearbox brake band fixed, the seal had been replaced with a manual gearbox seal so was slightly leaking, not happy tbh but what can you do,all fixed now and this is main reason I like doing as much work myself so know the jobs been done right, thanks again for part number, appreciated
