In my previous car the doors would lock automatically when I'd reach a certain speed (5 mph or so).

Does anyone know if is there a way to have the same functionality on a Freelander (I)?

Thank you, Bruno

Hi, We use modules from 'TOAD' alarms to achieve this function on some of our vehicles. You might try their website for info.

Do they automatically unlock when you have a crash???

How difficult is it to reach the central locking on the door handle :D

The inertia switch will unlock the doors in the event of an impact. However this function is usually disabled when there is a high risk of potential hijackers simply ramming the vehicle to gain entry.

if ur that worried about the doors locking... cant ya just press the door button down, id be more worried if in a crash the doors didnt unlock cos of a fault :)

O.K in UK but in more volatile locations throughout the world, you may survive the impact but you certainly would not survive being shot in the face by an assailant who simply opened the door.

Is this not something that's provided for in the north American market? Can this be enabled via Testbook?
