Autogas Help

hi all i recently got an old disco 1 V8 with LPG AUTOGAS fitted as i was working away on it i put a hole in one of the pipes :doh: it ran from the fill point to the tank i have now replaced the pipe and the connections with an 8mm pipe just a small bit smaller than the original i have just come back from the petrol station after trying to fill it up with no luck it dues fill but very very very slowly and keeps cutting out after less than 1 ltr i keeped trying it paying in between fills but i dont think i got more than 3 ltr in all there is something wrong but i have no idea what (are the gas tank now fall of air instead of gas and is that stopping the gas from getting in ?) what else come be coursing this ?

I know it sounds daft but was it empty before the valve is oneway. So if was full before you punchered the pipe it still will be. It should of had a 8mm pipe on before or have you replaced it with 6mm and it measures 8mm with the plastic coating.
 
The fill pipe that goes to the tank is 8mm diameter, 10mm diameter in its plastic sleave. If the pipe between the filler and tank fractures,it will only empty the pipe and not the tank as the tank has a non return valve fitted to it.
 
the tank was empty before i hit the pipe the new pipe is an 8mm (10mm with plastic) and it runs from the fill to the tank on the left side so and ideas why its not filling i did have to take the tank off to put the new pipe in coule that have somthing to do with it
 
Have you put you tank back at the same angle it was fitted at originally? Did you drop the tank by any chance?

The pressure shut off valve inside the tank may have jammed shut thus not allowing you to refill the tank.

ok i think its at the same angel i didnt drop it but i would have thought it would not take any gas if it was shut or the other tank would fill up cos there is 2 torpedo tanks on it but the gage inside still says empty bothe tanks was empty before i started
