Tried the auto heater this morning, 1 press on remote and electric fan started under bonnet straight away . It ran for approx 30 mins and stopped as stated in rangy handbook . Car still frozen , it did not warm up at all , healthy battery , full tank od diesel , any ideas why not getting warm . Any help gratefully accepted, regards Paul

The remote does heating and cooling so I suspect it's just turning the heater blower on to cool. Did you hear a loud turbine type sound behind the front passenger wheel?

Yes I heard fan start up and even opened door sfter a while but it was blowing cold air

But was it the heater fan in the dash or the FBH fan behind the front wheel?
If the FBH does not light it will go into flame out fault condition and shut down after a minute or so.

Can you feel any hot air coming out of the FBH exhaust ?

If there is no hot air from the exhaust then the FBH isn't running. It goes through a startup sequence where the fan starts slowly then after I think around 90 seconds if it detects a flame the fan will go full bore and sound like small jet engine firing up. Have you watched this
