well thats good!and what i read rave as saying..

just the immobiliser to sort then..i expect that is not an issue either..looking at electrical diagrams i expect its just gnd om immobiler to run/or immobilse..man who i got engine from said ecu will run on its own once few wires connected..ie fuel pump relay etc.
he runs them in tomcat..so i tend to believe him..though untill i wire it up and install i wont know for sure..

so ew autobox ecu..

i think i will need to have a) a switch to change between sport and "economy"
b) a switch to change to manual
c) a switch to fool ecu its in low to het full manual..

switch a) willl be rocker
switch b) and c) will be on one switch, a rocker centre off..

this leaves gear selection indicator,,it seems to use xyz selector switch on gearbox for this feeding inputs to becm (and autobox ecu for manual gear selection) which in turn drives gear indicator lamps...wont be difficult atall to make unit that interptes xyz switch signal into led readout showing 1234prn ..

NOW it would be very very nice to have gearselector that i can shift by touch in manual..
i like the idea of clicking back for up change,forward for down change...
BUT as of yet i have no idea how i am going to do this and also make it be able to select d r n p as this needs to be done mechanically to (via cable)
making electronic sequential shifter to control /simulate xyz switch is easy, its incorporting it in a selector that mechanically operates cable thats a problem

unless i have manual selection on paddle by steering wheel...??but i dont like that..prefer floor mount shifter....

Shift from P or N using the stick, that's the only thing the cable is needed for as it engages the forward or reverse clutch, the rest is electric and could be done on a button.
