Auto gear box problems

Hi I have a 2.5 Diesel RR 2001 just before christmas it was starting to have problems slipping gears and struggling when starting from cold then it finally gave upo ontop of the Snake Pass in derbyshire where the gear box chucked out all its oil and it now has no drive at all..

I have also had the engine chipped any comments if this was good or a bad thing to do and why would be appreciated.

I'm not technical at all really but now having bought a P38 I realise I may have been better off not having bought it.

it needs a new gearbox, not the wort thing in the world. ring emmotts of colne i think, i got a box off them for £300 with a 3 month guarantee.

either get the box done or sell it on. either way (and im not being smart here) its really not the end of the world. since you have it chipped and its a 2001 i'd be getting a new box fitted. sounds like there is plenty of life left in it. good luck
