Hello all - new here but I feel I may need support with owning a LR2 as many things gone wrong since buying it at 84,000 miles 2011 model only 8 months ago. Garage I bought it from useless so not going back there. My new problem is when I select Neutral it feels like the car is still trying to drive a tiny bit but if I take my foot off the bake nothing happens but the noise stops. Is there an adjustment I could do myself. Since buying I have had a new diff and haldex service which was all fine so far....the mechanic who did the job was useless though and not local so will not go back there.

Also the lights that show which gear I am in fell down into the console and I cannot see what is supposed to hold them in place.....?

Lovely car but oh dear things fall off and break !

Any help appreciated Thanks

You say it feels like its trying to move in neutral, but it doesn't move. What makes you feel its moving in neutral? Are you on a flat level surface?

Hi Hippo - Happens every time - flat, or slope. It's more the sound like it's slightly engaged like a vibration similar but not the same as when I select D or R. If I take my foot off the brake it goes.

I managed to get my gear shift lights back - couldn't find the clip so glued them in !

Thanks Fergus

So its as if its slow to come out of drive, into neutral?

What about if you stop with the foot brake then put the hand brake on, then release foot brake then quickly put into neutral? Does it do the same thing then?
