auto box help needed

hi, hope somebody can give me some help here,im dealing with a 1993 range rover 3.9v8 auto with a problem with the autobox.
the etc light stays on and the oil temp light is on intermittantly as well.
the main problem is that the car has little or no drive,there seems to be no problem with the engine power so ive ruled that out.the g/box oil level is also ok but it does seem to be quite dirty,is this box fitted with a mesh filter in the sump which may be blocked like they used to be which can be cleaned out then refilled with new oil or is there some sort of sensor that might be playing up.any ideas please .

Yes it does have a filter and you may fix it by replacing the filter and changing the oil. Unfountunatly you may have already damage you gearbox in which case you will need a replacement. I have a good 4 speed ZF auto gearbox £150 collect Basingstoke or I can put it on a pallet if for your courier to collect.
