Auto box ecu removed can I still drive ??

Hi after doing lots of fault finding reg my prob going into low range on my p38 4.6 auto, I've found if I discOnnect the ecu I get all high range and sport mode , I thought the ecu controlled this ? The problem I had was going into low range the motor turns no prob as bench tested it, had fault saying select neutral, but now the ecu is
Out it runs as should does say transfer neutral, so looks to me like the autobox ecu ? Will I do any damage running it without the autobox ecu and with transfer neutral displayed be only till I source a new ecu

aint got a clue mate,but if you do run it without the ecu and the gearbox goes a knacker let us know so we all know not to do it,we wont take the **** honest

you cant hurt box as long as you dont over rev it

Just realised it's the ecu for the low range 4 wheel drive not the auto box

you cant hurt box itself as with gear box too ecu control gear shifts not box operation as such with t/box it controls the motor on back nothing else with auto boxes just solenoids for shifting,yout vehicle is 4wd all the time whether in high or low
