Hello, Newbie here. I recently purchased a 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged Autobiography. Unfortunately, I have discovered that the CarFax report may not have been accurate. Also, after the fact, I realized the wrong year manual came with the car. The past 3 days, a new issue has started. When I start up the car, the sound of a few loud beeps come from inside the vehicle. Randomly, a few quieter beeps occur when driving. Also, when I proceed to drive, mainly on the highway, a weird audible alert sound will happen intermittently that comes from the small speaker near the break. It sounds similar to a radar sound in short tones in pattern of bom, bom, bom sound that sometimes going to longer length. Also, during the signal there will be a brief pause and a voice is heard but then the alert sound starts again, then stops. I am unable to detect what the voice is saying, nor can I get the volume of it to increase. It sounds like it is saying: hey now. However, I know that isn't the case. It just randomly happens. No warning signs, signals or messages appear when this occurs. I have gone through all the menu items, googled and tried all I can to get it to stop without success. I would happily take it to the Range Rover dealership in my city, but they no longer service older RRs. The sound is driving me crazy! I had not changed any settings and just out of the blue it started. If anyone has any suggestions of what it could be or how to get it to stop, please let me know. I will greatly appreciate it!

Do you have a max speed set?
My old Range Rover "Bongs" to warn you that you are going above a predetermined speed that you have set.

Press and hold the SET+ button to raise the maximum vehicle speed directly to 10 km/h (6 mph) above the detected speed limit. Press the - button to lower the maximum vehicle speed 2 km/h (1 mph) below the detected speed limit.

DanClarke Thank you for responding. I checked and it was not the predetermined speed. Although it was set high, I bumped it up a little more and then took a drive to see if that made a difference and it didn't. I even turned the predetermined speed option off and it did not resolve the issue. I was just driving on a regular street at slower pace, and it went off. I rolled up to a stop light and no other cars were around me and it went off.

Is it a vehicle detection system? When someone else passes you?

Mark Piercy thank you for your reply. That was one of the first things I thought, however found it to not be the case. I recently was on the road with no one around me and it started. On the highway, off the highway regardless of speed, it intermittently goes off. Earlier this evening, I rolled up to a stop light and it started.

It's probably Morse code for "burn me, burn me";)

Datatek :D:D:D:D That sounds about right or what I am thinking. I told someone I am at the point I am about to trade both Rovers in and get a brand new Hyundai! :D. I do love my rovers though. The pattern of the sound does sound similar to morse code :)

Hi @Akasha31

wonder if the batteries in ur key fob are low ?

Must confess would be best to get diagnostics plugged in, however I know main dealers are very expensive

there is a cheap scanner called an Autel AP200 , they come in different colours, u want the white one , they are around $60.00 and really handy to keep in ur glove box
https://www.auteldiag.com/wholesale/autel-ap200-code-reader.html

at least then ur be able to see all the fault codes and hopefully identify what is making the noise

at the checkout where it says ship from the uk u can change it to ship to the USA

hope that helps

2015 MY is considered old?o_O

I felt a little offended when they called mine old...lol. I have a 2008 also that had been to the dealership and no longer can. I still cannot wrap my head around the actual LandRover dealership will not accept their own vehicles to repair. I mean who else would better know how to fix them?

They will not accept them because they don't know how to fix the problems:rolleyes:
