How's the RR 'enforced restoration' going? Is it finished yet?

Any more pics?

Monty is now road legal & is well sweet, although it might need something doing with the boot floor soon.
I'm gonna give it a really good clean out now & give it a right good wash & brush up! I'm after a centre
console & a rear (split) seat lower seat squab cover as I burned the existing one! An old RRC radio too
to match the interior & two interior light lenses.

Does it feel like it used to do, or better.

It feels much quicker... I know it shouldn't but it does.

Alfie is now cruising the road again, I've yet to get him sprayed up. I've
lots of very minor blemishes to sort first before going in for another
respray. The replacement door was devoid of rot but did have a couple of
dinks.

Been away up in the Lakes for a foew days so Having spent alot of time
Getting Percy through the MOT , then realising the Tax was up on the Rangie
last night I wheeled Percy out again and he promptly conked. I suspect a
sticking float... will investigate more tomorrow. Went to work in the 101
Ambi again today. Always assures a clear space either side when I come to
come home. :)

I have some piccys ... need to do some tidying up on the web site shortly as
space is a bit tight. I've removed a load of stuff but need to tidy the
links and put some new ones in.

If i drive Monty for even a few miles, you get used to the speed, jump into the Subaru after this & it
feels like you're strapped to a SAM. The wifes A4 feels the same & whilst I hade the Mini Cooper S it
felt slow! It's all relative. Bet you've been driving something a lot slower for a few weeks.

I must admit, it's Ardennes green fowe me once it's fully sorted. Trocedero red is bloody awful! Tell you
one thing, the auto box is so smooth you only just feel it change up or down

Exactly how many LR models do you own?! Bet your wife loves it! You know you are in the club when the
wife tells you to "get that peice of junk off my drive"

I bought an older Efi spoiler for the front as its a bit higher up & it looks a proper dog without one.
The fitting is gonna be fun as I sort of destroyed the older bumper (also knackered one) taking off the
bullbars. Can't wait for a some serious action & to keep the miles off the Subaru, I use it for the
office journey if I'm there all day. Today I did 300m in the Subaru, tomorrow will be even more, so the
miles will clock up too much for a 'bought' car. Leased I don't care.

Cheers

Well it ranged really from the 206 hire car from the insurance (arse
dragging economy at it's best.. not my cup of tea!), Percy my then and still
come to think of it spluttering SIIa with the 4.2 Jag lump. Nearly there now
but just being an arse to make a point through being neglected for a few
weeks. The 101 has been out mainly when I'm on nights but has also made a
few daylight appearances this week.

Mrs D actually donated me the Rangie when I traded my old Scorpio in on her
new to us Disco 3.9 ES.

She initially christened Percy (IIa) as "Percy the piggin pickup" when she
first saw him back in 1999. Since the rebuild she has been threatening to go
to work in him..... which is saying something as presently she declines to
go to work in the Rangie purely because it has an odd coloured wing and
door.

I've mentioned possibly moving Percy to pastures new on a couple of
occasions. I've also been given a "death stare" so I know whats instore
should I dare to put the consideration into action... I think she's
developed a strange fondness which I normally feel too... but ask me more in
a couple of days.

Four, five if you count a mountain of parts and a V5 ...and a Tractor
(Little grey fergie), although I have yet to go to work on that, but no
doubt it will be done :)
