Attaching to recovery points

This may be a stupid question, but I now have a selection of front recovery points on my 90 and was wondering whats the best thing to use for a bridle. Is a tree strop OK, or do I need somthing with a little give in it, and/or something with a reinforced centre to avoid the shackle wearing the webbing at the mid point of the strop?

I was looking to get a simple 2m tree strop to use as a bridle, but thought I would check and see what others are using first.

Also is a 2m bridle OK, or are there advantages to longer bridles?

Don't use a shackle to connect bridle to main line, if something gives it'll become a deadly unguided missile! Always link main and bridle by putting bridle through end eye on main line. 2m bridle would be ok, but don't go any shorter otherwise the forces act to pull the end of the chassis rails together (or whatevers between the recovery points), longer bridles will lessen these forces, giving a straighter pull on the ends rather than inwards.
