Hi any help would be appreciated.
Freelander 1 2004.
Bought a couple of weeks ago.
When i went to look started ok, just slight pause.
Drove home two miles ok.
Started in my drive a couple of times no problem.
THEN went to take it out and key turned but nothing. No sound so i assumed starter motor stuck.
Eventually started but died again couple of seconds later.
I could hear fuel pump buzzing.
After that drained battery.
Put new battery on it and all i get is it turning over no ignition at all.
This is what I've thrown at it as im only a 1 spanner lol.
New fuel pump and filter, new crankshaft sensor, new relay, checked all fuses.
NOW the best part i bought a obd11 strictly for landrover and jaguar no power to it.
Powered my unit to 12 volt connection can't connect .
Tried another obd11 no power.
Checked all fuses again with tested all good.
Car just turns nothing.
Checked fuel getting to fuel rail and it was.
What my next step?
Im thinking fuel rail sensor?
I want to check fuel pressure but not sure where to connect.
Help!!!!

Im thinking fuel rail sensor?
be worth checking and cleaning the f.r.s. plug/socket connections .. in anycase ..
( i've no ideas re. the " obd11 no power. " .. sorry )

"
a.f.a.i.k. .. the replacement harness and sensor fro LR ..
were to address the issue of water getting into the harness .. and plug / socket connections ( pins )
and that LR mainly changed the design of the plug / socket bit to stop water ingress ..
which ends up corroding the metal electrical connectors .. and wiring ..

the working voltage for that sensor is very small .. millivolts to 5v max.
so any dirt / corrosion .. i.e. resistance .. has a major effect ..

so best to ensure that water / moisture has no way of getting into the plug / socket / wiring
' contralube 770 ' .. is a good product to keep electrical connections free of corrosion
