Bought my first Land Rover a Defender 90 300tdi 1989, two weeks ago having wanted one since I was 17 years old, I’m now 55. Decided on a whim thinking I might as well as no ones future is certain at the moment, I’ve sold the idea to the wife by giving her my new Jag Epace, and I couldn’t be happier.
I have been using it for work and love everything about it, its noisy, slow and handles like a bag of crap,
I got back in the Jag today to keep the battery charged and it felt like I was in a go cart super light and low, I hated it, so no going back now.ps new to forums and the like so hope I’ve done it right...

It was almost undriveable, and I had to clime to get in her, it’s made such a difference and I can hop in her quite easily now.

Hi and welcome!

Nice looking Landy! I don’t blame you changing those wheels and tyres, the tyres are fine if it lives in mud but for day to day driving, they wouldn’t be very good and would hit the fuel consumption and wear down quickly.

Invest in some decent security measures too, landies are popular with thieves.
