After a long period away from LR ownership I took the plunge a couple of weeks ago and bought a 2001 Range Rover Autobiography.
Very pleased with it so far and looking forward to some comfort. Already removed the cat and plan on a remap and possibly an EGR removal (not sure that would make much of a difference though.

Hi Stuart nice looking motor, very similar to mine, champagne gold I believe the colour is, as I too own a autobiography. I just couldn't help noticing that the trim, i.e chrome on the side strips on the doors appears to be missing, non colour coding of bumpers and the level of wood trim slightly lacking. I'm not the be all and know all of Range Rovers but I would definitely check that it is a bonafide autobiography from the local dealer as when I purchased mine many moons ago there are some unscrupulous traders that just place the autobiography decal on the reverse ??

But wasn't the Autobiography basically the level of trim decided by the customer? E.g. in Stuart's motor above, he has the wood wheel, chrome handbrake button, steps, colour coded mirrors. In other words, an Autobiography could be any level of trim from slightly above standard to all bells and whistles?
Not withstanding the nitpicking above though Stuart, one nice looking Rangie. Good colour.

Interesting feedback guys, and thank you for the kind comments. According to the paperwork that came with the car it says it's a Bio, so I can only go by that, and I'd like to subscribe to Dereks reply on it :)
Although a close friend has been driving RR's for the past 10 years, I never actually thought of buying an RR before and wish I had done it ages ago now because the car really is a nice place to be in. The sound system for example is amazing, and the list of extras excellent.
I've one fault to sort, the pass side door mirror tilts up instead of down when I put the car in reverse and it's not heating. I'm sure it will be something silly. Oh and I've one tiny dimple on the drivers rear door (the only blemish on the entire car) that I'll be getting sorted.
