AT LAST, got it (nearly)

happy as a pig in ****, after looking and looking, found a pretty nice 110 300tdi, needs a bit of prettying up, but solid where it counts, needs a bit of work inside, some of the seats are a bit naff, but it comes with new ones, they just never been fitted, has a few other bits and spares too (like a rear diff)

Going to pick her up later this week.

Towing mirrors ordered, service kit ordered, go get fluids monday...

probably going to get some black chequer for the wings:

A: so I can stand on them to get to the roof box
B: in the past someone has been standing/jumping on the O/S wind and the tops all dented, so it'll cover it up.

The stripes on the side make it go faster.

Can't wait to get her, first stop, Sunday is a full fluid/filter service.
Followed by installing the stereo.

Week after I'm taking the wife & kids to Blackpool in her (see how she tows a caravan over the M62...

got me shopping list already for the extras, side steps, cubby, CB, I could go mad, but wont, rear doors need attention, chassis needs a clean up and paint, although safari door and rear X-member are nearly new.
