What I would like an ID card for would be to cover car tax and car insurance- I am ****ed off paying over GBP 1000 a year to insure my motors when every sodding TV programme shows burberry clad chav after chav getting pulled up with no licence/tax / insurance and then finding out he is already serving a driving ban- then watch him being given a GBP 50 fine and another ban- I have twice had the misfortune of my car being struck by a driver who gave false name and whos number plate was not registered to him( the police have no interest in helping you).The last time it happened I knew the guy was obviously low life- so i reversed up and drove at the side of his car and buried my winch and bumper into his door panels.NOW THATS WHY ITS GOOD TO HAVE A LANDY!..and of course- as he had no tax or insurance- he could not go to the police.
