Disco 2 Are Discovery(1,2) in demand by thieves?

I'm looking for a discovery at the moment, However I don't want to be paranoid leaving it..
Are these vehicles and parts stolen like defenders are?...

No but there's a roaring trade in stolen facelift headlights

Apparently there are 69 ways to break into a disco, but unless you left a pile of used banknotes in there, not one reason to do it.

Only stolen by masochists here in Aus, Police usually find 'em broken down a little distance from the crime scene.

Well, looking at the selling prices on egay, D1's & especially 3 door D1's are on the up, bloody typical as I'm looking for an early / 200tdi 3 door as a breaker

Climb in through the gaps in the sunroofs.
Climb in through the panel gaps.
Climb in through the door seals.
Climb in through the window seals.
Wait for the windscreen or windows to rot out and climb in.
Climb in through the hole in the gearshift gaiter.
Climb in through the botched boot floor repair.
And so on ...

I have to admit to being a serial masochist, (owning two Discos in the last eight years), but I have a toolkit, and no police record (yet)!

My mate's D1 got stolen from right outside his house about a year ago. He's cut the big hedge back now so as to see the road from the living room.
