Arb links inverted

I was thinking about that but wasn't sure if there would be enough strength at the front fixing point without welding a brace back to the galv bracket, thus weakening the galv.
What do you think?

I was thinking something hefty like 1/2 plate, bugger to work with but man enough.

Utter crap drawing, but hope it shows you what I was thinking?
Pink original chassis
Green your ext piece
Red 1/2 plate, was thinking both orignal holes could be reused, and one could clamp all three parts
Blue d bracket
Black fixing bolts

Ebay or local scrappy might have what you need.

Edit 10.50 delivered, not sure if 400mm will do both sides?
If not maybe enough to experiment with

400mm would be enough to do both sides but it needs to be 70mm wide! All I can find on eBay that's 70mm wide is 10mm thick. I reckon that should be enough! What's your thoughts?

P.s Thought I should mention the flat bar will over hang the original bracket by about 60mm.
 
Is there an optimal position for the links when the truck ìs unloaded?
Should they be straight up and down or maybe at a 90 degree angle to the arb??

I think a look at a std 90/110 would give you the answer
Phils idea sounds good, and as the angle can be thinner, cheaper as well.

How I do it will probably be determined by what I can get hold of quickest. I'll sticks dome pics up when it's done.

You need the correct measurement (Bar to chassis)to to get the angle of the arb links
Can’t measure mine as I took them off ;)
Thanks Phill, I've unbolted the arb brackets and held them forward to correspond with the measurement given by JamesMartin and the links look to be in the same place as your diagram.
