That's where mine was, it's stuck on around 3 inches below the lock hoop iirc.
Mine was that colour too. I wonder if it's still about?

I'm sure mine came from that neck of the woods somewhere before I bought it. It used to have a dealer name on the rear door but I removed it.

Mine had 165 - pretty sure it won't be that one though, unless someone has done some serious repairs to it...

You can check old reg numbers here to see when they were last liable for tax - if the resulting date is years ago then its not on the road anymore
