Hi Guys,

Looking in to painting my 1991 90 as its looking a bit tatty and could do with a tidy up.

After getting some quotes from local paint shops that I can't afford have decided to go down the roller route as have seen some great results on here.

Couple of questions:

Has anyone used these guys before? Military Vehicle Paint - Home Page

Has anyone done a satin grey that they could post a picture of? Thinking of going satin grey for the body with a satin black roof but wouldn't mind seeing the finish of satin grey if anyone has used it before.

Thanks guys.

If you look at my picture I rolled mine last year with there paints but mine where gloss was very easy and done in a day.

Ah i didn't realise they did gloss versions. Did you have to color sand and buff etc or did it turn out ok without. Thats the kind of color combo I am looking for, maybe a bit darker, which colour did you use?

I'm not sure what colour it was something to do with navy ship grey colour. I only washed it in the morning lightly rubbed it down with 3m cloth. washed it again let it dry then painted it was really easy just make sure you get the best gloss rollers you can afford. Here is a better picture of it. And if you need anymore help just ask.

Just had a look and it was paints4trade I got mine off eBay just type in land rover paint on ebay alot cheaper to any colour you want there.

Thats awesome thanks, have just found it now, cheaper than what I was looking at.

Did you have to do any finishing with it or did it turn out ok without sanding? Did you get quite a bit of orange peel with the gloss?
