Is there anyone on here that lives near Drum O Wartle on the B9001 just out of Inverurie?

Earlier this year, on a night-shift I was passing the LR garage and I spotted a red defender which was double fronted. Sadly I didn't have a camera with me and I've been hoping to see it again so I could post a picture.

If you have seen it, you'll know the one I mean. For anyone who hasn't seen it, it went like this.

I'd not long since bought my own defender and therefore had "radar eyes" which spotted every defender on the road. It was the dead of night in a very remote, little village at about 0230hrs. As I trucked along the road, out of the corner of my eye, I thought I'd seen two defenders sitting in the garage. On the way back I casually glanced at them only to see what looked like the fronts from two defenders co-joined like twins, back to back, next day it was still there, but I'd forgotten my camera and by the time I was back up that way this vehicle had gone.

Someone, put me out of my misery and tell me what it was all about, please.

Hi

The land rover you speak of is owned and run by Buchan corprate activities and was in the drum garage for repair. It spends quite a lot of time in the garage due to the lack of use. BCA also own the series in my sig pic . I dont have a pic of the double and is at present stored in the back of a big warehouse so cant get to it to take one.

Cheers Scotsman,

Am I right in believing that it was articulated?

I passed in the dead of night and it was parked on the verge outside the cottages so I didn't want to disturb anyone by stopping and having a look, but I'd intended bringing my camera the following night and forgot.

If it's a fairly regular visitor to the garage I guess I'll see it again someday 'coz I'm up that way quite often (chicken run.)

I wish I'd got a pic of it as I'm sure some of the guys on here would love to see it.

Ron.

Hi

No its not articulated its two truck cabs cut approx 1/2 a meter behind the cabs and joined back together. Its two wheel drive, driving the front axle only in the direction its travelling, there is a complete set of controls at one corner, brake, clutch, accelarator at other three corners, one steering wheel and one engine at each end. It was built for corprate team building.

This what your looking for? - it was on their website
