When I bought my 90 the headliner was a right mess as it had been water damaged from condensation and was scrap so I binned it!

Now after a while of not having one I am thinking about putting something back in but can't really afford to buy a nice shiney replacement one and all the ones I see on ebay look about as bad so was thinking of having a go at making one myself.

Anyone tried doing this or is it just a bad idea and I should get the credit card out?!

Aucustic carpet used for wrapping parcels shelves and subs etc. £20 on eBay and contact adheasive spray.

The headliner in my HCPU was in a sorry state so I took it out, left it out to dry off properly. I ripped off the original covering. Underneath I gave it a thick soaking of glass resin all over and in certain areas gave it a layer of fibreglass matting to strengthen it. Once that was dried I recovered it in black caravan trim cloth. Before it went back in, I covered the roof in sound deadening pads.
