If you've read my ' Picking up ' thread you'll know i'm a new Landy owner, a 1988 90.

I picked her up yesterday and for her age, she is in pretty good nick but there are some areas i'd like to tackle in the near future ( next few months ) before her MOT is due, mainly these are cleaning and inspecting the chassis and various other areas and giving here some protection underneath as well.
The Trackball ends (?) were an advisory on the last MOT as well, again something i want to get done.

My dilemma is i live in a main road and i have a very bad feeling that the small garage i have wont allow the Landy into it ( it is a converted shop front ) so i'm stuck as to where to do this work.

I've got a few friends, but their driveways are full with cars or nice shiny driveways so me turning up to do some arse ache work has so far resulted in a friendly f*ck off reply.

What i'm looking for is someone localish with a farm or scrap bit of land they own that doesn't mind me turning up to do some work on my Landy, I'll even pay for rental for a day, a few beers or quids or whatever you want ( no my body is taken, so don't ask, the wife will kill me ).

I'll bring my own tools n stuff and leave the place as i find it, just somewhere i can safely remove wheels, clean underneath, paint what needs it etc and not worry about having my legs run over several times by the local traffic.

I'm in Torquay which is at the end of the M5ish, i'm happy to drive for upto an hour for a good spot to do work and if i cock anything up, i got RAC to get me home....

Any help appreciated

Cheers

YOU make me smile, but I'm too far

why thank you, Somerset is a an hour or so from me, great county though :D

if yer were closer yer come come up ere

Cheers for the offer Series, you border Devon, but it maybe a few hours depending on your location ;)

ur welcome here, loads o space, im in the middle of nowhere, n the only thing that will run u 'oer is a cow!!

hehe cows are fine, sheep even, although not as inquisitive, it's the haggis running up my trouser legs i'm really worried about :p

Shame your to far away i rent ramps/floor space out by the hour/week/month for DIY mechanics in my work shop. That goes for anyone who's local'ish if you need to do some work on your landy/car. This isn't ment to be a blantant advert but sometimes if you have the abilaty but not the space or equipment to do your own work I have both and in these difficult times every little helps with the over heads.
